Dr. Hollifield Presented with

MCHS’ Exemplary Service Award

The Montgomery County Humane Society presented Dr. Victoria Hollifield of Best Friends Veterinary Hospital in Gaithersburg with MCHS’ Exemplary Service Award for her work on behalf of homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals at A Champagne & Chocolate Affair in February.

The award is presented to a partnering veterinarian who has set a model standard of service in both contributions and discounted medical services, above and beyond the terms of the partnering veterinarian agreement.

Dr. Hollifield has assisted MCHS for over a decade by staying open late, adopting, fostering, providing free grooming and boarding, and writing medical protocols. Her practice seeks and finds solutions that take the shelter's limited resources into account.

"MCHS depends on Dr. Hollifield, and we sincerely appreciate all that she has done to help the homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals in our care," said Cris Bombaugh, MCHS president and CEO.
