Make Mine Chocolate! |
Rabbits have become a familiar symbol of the Easter holiday. It’s no surprise that children beg their parents for a bunny of their own.
If you are thinking about bringing a pet bunny into your home this Easter, won’t you please make it a chocolate one or a cuddly stuffed toy instead?
The Montgomery County Humane Society supports the Make Mine Chocolate! Make Mine Chocolate campaign started by the Columbus House Rabbit Society in 2002.
Rabbits are not appropriate Easter gifts. They require special care and live 8-12 years. If you are serious about wanting a rabbit, do comprehensive research and think carefully. Can you take ultimate responsibility for the constant feeding of fresh fruits and vegetables, washing the cage once a week, and clipping nails every other month for the next 8-12 years…the average life of a rabbit?
Give a chocolate bunny and support a rabbit rescue group.
