Ranger/Foster is a 3 month old male Yorkshire Terrier being cared for in a foster home. He knows the commands no, stop, and come. He likes adults and gets along with other dogs. He is a hyperactive puppy and likes to play fetch and run. He likes to ride in the care and be brushed and groomed. This type of dog will need to be professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks to keep his fur from becoming painfully matted. He is friendly when meeting strangers and has never bitten anyone. He will need to be adopted to a household where there is an adult home all day to continue with his training and socialization so he grows up into a responsible, mature adult dog. If you would like to add him to your family, contact his foster Elisa @ ebraga@mris.com for more information.

Bam Bam/Foster. I have the most striking brindle coat my foster mom has ever seen! She wasn't able to capture it very well in my pictures, so you'll just have to see me in person to believe how beautiful I am. It's not just about my looks either. I'm a super-sweet, affectionate Pit bull puppy with a really waggy tail. I'm just over a year old and have loads of puppy energy, but have also learned how to be a well behaved boy with nice house manners. I'm housebroken, crate-trained and a very healthy boy. I live with 8 other dogs and get alone fine with them. I've never been around cats, but could probably learn to live with them safely given the proper introductions. I'm great with kids and know how to take treats very gently. I would do best in a home with older children, at least 10 years old, because of my great exuberance and lust for life! My favorite thing to do is run around the backyard at full-speed. I'm what you call a "velcro" dog and follow my foster parents all over the house and yard. And be careful when you sit down because I'll try to crawl right in your lap! I bond very quickly to people and can't wait to find my forever family so I can settle down and finally be where I belong.

Please contact Maria @ 301-602-0886/email bullydawg3@hotmail.com for more information about me.
Franny/Foster is a 10 week old Boxer Rottweiler mix. She weighs 11 pounds as of the week of 8.23. She is microchipped and will also be spayed by the time she goes to her forever home. She deserves an amazing home with fun people to play with all the time. She is a sweet rambunctious kind of gal that will melt your heart with one look at her puppy eyes. She loves to sit on laps and cuddle but can also play for hours. She's as sweet as can be and gets along with everyone and everything. She's an amazing little girl who needs a great home with lots of time to give her all the kisses and cuddles she needs. She will need to be adopted to a home where there is an adult home all day to continue with her training and socialization so she grow up into a wonderful adult dog. If you would like to add her to your family contact her foster Jennifer @ email:Jenniferkpaul@hotmail.com / 240-461-8829 for more information.
Toby/Foster is a 4 year old neutered male Border Collie mix being cared for in a foster home. He knows the commands sit and stay. He let the owners know when he had to go outside to the bathroom and didn’t go inside the house. He likes adults, children, some dogs, and some cats. He is active and loves to run and chase squirrels. He likes to ride in the car and be brushed and groomed. He will need to be adopted to an active home where the adopters have herding breed experience and children over the age of 8 years. He is a fantastic dog who will do very well in obedience, agility, or fly ball. He is very focused and wants to please. He needs an outlet for his energy. He worries somewhat in new situations and needs socialization. If this sounds like the dog for you contact his foster Chris @ c.lock@verizon.net for more information.

Daisy/Foster is an exceptionally calm, moderate-energy, super-sweet, small (just 40 lbs!), fully-grown 9-month old female Pit Bull mix who’s wonderful with people, other dogs, and cats. She received an excellent evaluation at the shelter. Her foster home has 10 other dogs of all sizes, and Daisy does beautifully with them all. She’d like her new forever home to include another nice dog, but she'd be fine as an only dog too. Daisy has a beautiful soft snowy white coat & bi-colored eyes: one eye is amber, the other eye is crystal blue! She’s very gentle, with a soft, sensitive, loving personality, and is cheerful & bright. Daisy loves to learn & is very eager to please. Despite how maturely she behaves, she’s still a puppy – she must go to a family with someone home at least part of the day, or which will take her to doggy day care or hire a reliable dog-walker, to continue her training and socialization. Daisy is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on shots, crate-trained, walks well on a leash & rides well in the car, & is ready for a great new home who’ll love and care for her for the many wonderful years she deserves. Her foster home will reimburse her adopter for the cost of a positive-focused basic obedience class; Email foster for details and to request a copy of her evaluation. For information about Daisy, please contact her foster home @ AdoptADog@Gmail.com

Meet Andy/Foster. Andy is about a year old and is just one big, goofy character. He is rather tall, not Great Dane tall though, and is just about all leg. We aren't sure of his exact breeding however we do know that his mom was a Black Flat Coated Retriever and it looks like he may have Doberman and/or some Hound in there. He is a very unusual looking dog with very interesting coat colors and hazel eyes. Andy generally loves people but does have a stubborn, defiant streak in there. He loves to play with other dogs and is really rather submissive to most except sometimes he can be a little to much for the smaller or older dogs. He would actually do better in a home with another dog that will play with him. He needs a home that has a securely fenced yard so he can safely run and stretch those long legs. Andy is crate trained, very rarely has accidents in the house, and has learned quite a few hand signals in addition to voice commands. The family that Andy needs and wants is one that doesn't have small young kids, doesn't have cats, is dog savvy and experienced. Of course he needs tons and tons of love. Andy is a special boy with a few little special needs so if you have the patience, understanding, time, and are willing to provide him with all the proper training he needs please contact his foster mom Meg @ luvthemdogs@yahoo.com and use Andy as the subject. Oh and a nice comfy chair that he can call his own would be just great too!

Sasha/Foster is a sweet 10 year old spayed female Shih Tzu being cared for in a foster home. She gets along with adults, children, and other dogs. She is quiet and calm and likes to be pet. She likes to ride in the car and is used to being groomed. This type of dog will need to be professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks. She is current on her medicals, spayed, and micro chipped. She just needs to find her forever home. She is friendly and has never bitten anyone. If you would like to add her to your family contact her foster Elise @ fattylovescake@aol.com for more information.
Bo Bo/Foster is a wonderful 3 year old Chihuahua mix that needs a good home with love and patients. He enjoys cuddling and is very affectionate. Bo Bo enjoys long walks, fetching, playing with other dogs, running around and being chased. He knows how to stop, sit, shake, roll over, jump, sit like a bear, and comes when called. He has a silly run when he’s excited and hops like a bunny when he wants to play.

He is scared of people, which makes his aggressive protective natural biting mode come out. He has been working on understanding people and has met with many people to help his progression and he is doing very well.

Bo Bo needs someone who can continue giving him positive reinforcement, training, and socialization to break his old habits. He treats his family like kings and queens and loves them very much. He is a wonderful cute dog who needs some caring. Please contact Ming @ Ming@MingChow.com to see Bo Bo.

Lovey/Foster is a friendly 10 month female miniature pincher mix being cared for in a foster home. She is high energy, outgoing, and playful. She is sensitive and afraid of loud noises. She is current on her medicals and will be spayed before going to her new home. She needs to be adopted to an active, experienced home with children over 14 years old. She is a nice girl who is great for a miniature pincher. She does bark and needs socialization and is loving and wants to please. If you would like to add her to your home, contact her foster mom Stacie @ (301) 741-6360/email starleo77@yahoo.com for more information.

Hi friends! My name is Taco/Foster. I'm a grrreat little companion. I'm male, 12-year-old white and fawn colored Chihuahua. I'm easy-going, friendly, and enjoy sitting on warm laps. I also get along with kids and dogs --- probably cats too (although my foster mom hasn't introduced me to any yet). My previous owners had personal problems and just couldn't care for me anymore, so I'm looking for a new home now. Email: theaok@gmail.com to schedule a meet & greet.

Willie/Foster is a playful and passionate male lab mix with a penchant for people and activity! He loves walking, trotting, running, bounding and jumping and he happily plays with other dogs at the local Dog Park? He covets belly scratches and throat rubs and will tolerate baths and grooming (it is just not nearly as fun as playtime!) He is crate trained and becoming housebroken, but at a mere 15 months, he is truly just learning his manners. He has responded well to training but will be most successful in a home with an experienced dog owner who understands that consistency is the key to successful dog ownership (meaning, you can’t laugh when he prances by proudly toting your spouse’s unmentionables from the laundry basket…you have to give him a firm no and then ignore him, which will make him drop the contraband!)

He has successfully interacted with an altered female rottie mix for the last few weeks; it appears that he would be a good companion for a well-balanced female looking for companionship or as a single dog, provided he received lots of exercise and attention.

Willie has been altered and at 75 lbs is in GREAT health….please contact us @ 240-426-2313 for more information about Willie!

This handsome boy is Larry/Foster. Larry is an almost 2 year old neutered Lab mix. Larry is an extremely active, energetic, playful, exuberant, loving boy. He is fully house trained and crate trained plus he knows several commands already. He is looking for a family that has a single family home with a securely fenced yard and who is going to be able to provide him with lots of physical and mental exercise in addition to love and attention. Larry loves all people and had lived with kids around 10 years of age however since he is a big strong boy at 60-65lbs and is so active it is recommended that his new family not have small young kids. He does also need to be an only pet. If you have the time and energy this big goofball of a dog deserves and needs and would like to add him to your family please contact his foster mom Meg @ luvthemdogs@yahoo.com and use Larry as the subject. Families with large dog experience would be preferred. Larry will also need to attend obedience school and thanks to a generous sponsor the adopter will be reimbursed for successful completion of a basic obedience course at See Spot Sit, LLC (www.see-spot-sit.com) run by Jennifer Lund or any other trainer recommended by her.

Schroeder/Foster is a big 4 ½ month old (date of birth 11.30.09) 45 lb male Labrador Retriever being cared for in a foster home with his brother Charlie/Foster.  They are a little shy to new situations at first but warm up very quickly.  Schroeder gets along with adults, children, and other dogs.  He is active and loves to play with the ball and fetch.  He is friendly when meeting strangers and has never bitten anyone.  He needs to be adopted to a household where there is an adult home most of the day to continue with his training and socialization.  If you would like to add this sweet guy to your family contact his foster Diane @ 1-301-829-3702/email erinbest@prodigy.net for more information.
