Ms. Bombaugh is a Washington, D.C. area native who began her career in marketing communications in the for-profit sector, but soon discovered her love of cause-related work through non-profits. She has served as an executive with several national and international trade associations, and was president of the Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce, where she was closely involved in the transformation of downtown Silver Spring. A lifelong animal lover, she volunteered with MCHS between 1999 and 2008, and joined the organization as President & CEO in January 2009. Ms. Bombaugh holds a B.A. from Towson University and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland. She lives in Silver Spring with her husband and four cats.
