DONATE A VEHICLE
Find a new home for your car, and help us find loving new homes for our animals!
MCHS, in partnership with Capital Auto Auctions, will pick up your donated vehicle (worth at least $300) from your home or other location — within a 50 mile radius of NE DC — at no expense to you. It’s easy, tax deductible and supports a great cause.
Please have the following information ready and complete the form below.
- Clear title to the vehicle, signed at the time of transfer, and given to our representative* at pickup (please keep your plates and return to MVA)
- VIN #, sticker # and title # of the vehicle (listed on your title)
- The mileage of the vehicle
- Make, year, body type and color of the vehicle
- Address where the vehicle is located
- Proof that there are no liens on the vehicle and that you are the owner.
- The SSN of the donor/vehicle owner.

Once your submission has been received, we will telephone you DURING WEEKDAY BUSINESS HOURS to complete the process.
Please have the Social Security Number of the person taking the tax deduction on hand.
